Dr. Steenblock: The way out of ”hopeless” for thousands

Dr. Steenblock has helped thousands of people written off as “hopeless” by their doctors regain lost ground and even make “impossible” turnarounds. This includes those battling debility and profoundly diminished quality-of-life caused by stroke, traumatic brain injuries (TBI), multiple sclerosis, Lou Gehrig’s (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), cerebral palsy and much more. You will find testimonials tendered by some of these patients on www.strokedoctor.com and www.stemcellmd.org.

 America’s Stroke Doctor

Known as “America’s Stroke Doctor”, Dr. Steenblock has treated over 2,000 stroke patients over a 10 year period using a combination of hyperbaric oxygen and conventional therapies. In 1996 Dr. Steenblock conducted a study to gauge the responses of stroke patients to a combination of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), physical therapy (P.T.) and bioneurofeedback (BF). Fifty patients participated. 97% of patients and caregivers reported seeing “good” to “stupendous” results. This study was presented at the National Stroke Association’s Ninth Annual Stroke Rehabilitation Conference during October 16-17, 1997. Click to see a summary of this study. Recently Dr. Steenblock added stem cell-based treatments to this program which has upped the healing curve even more.

Dr. Steenblock’s Comprehensive Stem Cell Treatment Method

stem cellsThe stem cells in your bone marrow helps keep you healthy day-in and day-out.

But when injury or disease strikes, these stem cells rush to the damaged or diseased tissues and facilitate healing and restoration. Not unexpectedly aging saps the vitality of these stem cells.  Dr. David Steenblock, in fact, found clear evidence that the marrow of older folks contains lots of stem cells that tend to be “sluggish” or devitalized, while the bone marrow of people under 40 contains more robust ones. Acting on this discovery, he set out to develop new therapies to “revitalize” the bone marrow of people over the age of forty. This background will help you better understand this better:

Each of us has in the hollows of our bones both red bone marrow tissue and yellow fat. When we are children our bones are full of active healthy bone marrow that is growing and releasing healthy stem cells 24/7 year round. This is the reason why children can heal so much better than older people.

As we get older our bodies make less new tissue including that in our bones, and as a result there is a shift in the amount of red bone marrow to fat present. This decrease in the quantity of stem cell-rich red bone marrow in our bones is one reason healing and repair is slower and less efficient. Interestingly, Dr Steenblock observed that older folks who hike in the high mountains or donate blood tend to have healthier, more abundant red bone marrow than their less active peers. This is due to that fact that exertion at high altitudes as well as blood donation creates a state of hypoxia or oxygen deprivation in the body. This prompted Dr. Steenblock to add Intermittent Hypoxia Therapy to his bone marrow revitalization approach.

In addition, the bone marrow in people with Parkinson’s disease or dementia has diminished in quantity and quality to the point that a great many of the cells have entered into state called “senescence”. They are in-a-word too old to do anything but sit in-place and take up space. To offset this Dr. Steenblock tried prodding the body to mobilize these tired old stem cells into the patient’s blood stream by use of some hormones called colony stimulating factors. He figured once these devitalized cells had left the bone marrow new, healthier stem cells would be created to replace them.  And this is exactly what he found! Indeed, Dr. Steenblock discovered that in two weeks time patient bone marrow had produced upwards of 10 times more healthy stem cells than were present prior to the injection of colony stimulating factors!

Over time Dr. Steenblock added other things to his comprehensive stem cell revitalizing approach and tested this on patients. The clinical responses seen were far superior to what had been seen in older folks given simple whole bone marrow transplants, i.e., marrow was harvested and given back without pre- or post- transplant use of Intermittent Hypoxia Therapy, CSF injections, etc. Many also experienced anti-aging effects like better skin color, a healthier “glow” and fewer wrinkles

After Dr. Steenblock was satisfied with his improved or enhanced bone marrow transplant method he then pushed the envelope by added the use of fat derived stem cells (by themselves and in combination with bone marrow.) So far the clinical results have been very impressive, even dramatic! You will find some of these patient accounts on www.strokedoctor.com as well as www.stemcell.MD.

Dr. Steenblock’s “Holistic Stem Cell Treatments”

stem cell treatmentsDr. Steenblock’s “Holistic Stem Cell Treatments”

You’ve read about holistic medicine, but what about “holistic stem cell treatments”? What’s that, you ask? Well, in-a-word this refers to maximizing what stem cells do in a person’s body in terms of organ & tissue maintenance or healing or restoration (And this whether the stem cells are mobilized from an individual’s own tissues or harvested from their body or provided by a donor.) It’s the biological equivalent of preparing a field for planting or tweaking a car engine so as to get the most mileage possible out of a gallon of gasoline.

Who knows how to do “holistic stem cell treatments”? One man: Dr. David Steenblock.

How does he pull this off? The process, which was worked out over many years, involves the use of a wide variety of natural compounds in combination with various FDA approved drugs and technologies, all geared to increase the numbers and vitality of a person’s own stem cells and encourage them and the patient’s body to ”give it their all.”

When you consider the fact that stem cell treatments in foreign countries can run $20,000.00 or more, it makes sense for patients to look for those that give them the “best bang for their buck.” Dr. Steenblock’s program does just this by:

(1) Saving people money they would spend on air fare to get to the major overseas stem cell clinics in Europe, China or such. Dr. Steenblock’s whole bone marrow transplants are done right here in the USA in his Mission Viejo, CA. office.

And

(2) Again, getting each patient ”primed” to reap maximum benefits from his or her stem cell based treatment.

Stem Cells for Stroke

stem cells for strokeStem Cells for Stroke

For many years now Dr. Steenblock has advocated that stroke patients be treated with their own bone marrow stem cells as quickly as possible following a stroke. He then tried this approach by actually treating stroke patients using his whole bone marrow transplant technique (Recently expanded & improved.) The clinical responses were often quite impressive, especially in those treated within a month or so of their stroke.

How “on target” was Dr. Steenblock’s use of bone marrow derived cells for stroke? Very much so judging from the results of a two phase clinical study being carried out in India (titled “Autologous Intravenous Bone Marrow Derived Cell Therapy for Patients with Ischemic Stroke.”)

In phase I of this study, Indian scientists gave twelve (12) stroke patients aged 38-70 years 86 million bone marrow cells within a month of their attack. They found that ”70 percent were able to overcome their handicaps and became free of deficits like weakness of limbs and inability to walk.”

Phase II, which is on-going, involves 120 patients at five centers across India including the Army R&R Hospital (Delhi) and Armed Forces Medical College (Pune).  This will conclude during June 2011.

The tentative results of the Indian study suggest that using stem cell rich bone marrow to treat recent stroke can produce impressive clinical gains. Those interested in learning more about Dr. Steenblock’s whole bone marrow transplants for stroke should visit his website at www.Strokedoctor.com. Macular Degeneration: Increasing Tissue Oxygenation

macular degenerationMacular Degeneration: Increasing Tissue Oxygenation

Age-related Macular degeneration (AMD) is an eye condition that modern medicine can do little yet to halt much less reverse. Dr. Steenblock, on-the-other-hand, has accrued evidence that points to the fact that many cases of age-related macular degeneration are the end result of oxygen deficiency; something that can be readily addressed medically.

What causes this lack of oxygen? Dr. Steenblock has fingered these as the major players: High cholesterol, high blood fats and triglycerides, high serum bile acids, high homocysteine levels, smoking tobacco and the intake of other noxious substances, chronic infections (like Chlamydia) and sinusitis, aging, oxygen deprivation due to sleep apnea, atherosclerosis, high blood pressure, certain autoimmune processes and conditions, and some allergies and inflammatory processes. When one or more of these exists in a patient Dr. Steenblock’s #1 priority becomes one of correcting or eliminating it or them.

One way to effectively combat macular degeneration lies in coaxing the body to make new, healthy blood vessels (As opposed to fragile, leaky ones). According to Dr. Steenblock, once healthy blood vessels are in-place in the macula, growth factors will be produced that stimulate the eye to create other new blood vessels.

Depending on what he finds while examining a patient, Dr. Steenblock has a number of powerful ways at his disposal for tackling whatever is limiting the flow of oxygen to the retina. Among the tools Dr. Steenblock utilizes: Daily treatments with hyperbaric oxygen and/or external counterpulsation and/or chelation therapy and/or antioxidants and proper nutrition.

As new, healthy, strong blood vessels are generated in the eyes of macular degeneration patients they typically began seeing better. When it comes to those already rendered totally blind, Dr. Steenblock sometimes refers them abroad for treatment with nonembryonic stem cells (Provided he determines there is good reason to think the patient will respond to this sort of intervention.)

Congestive Heart Failure Help

congestive heart failureCongestive Heart Failure Help

Congestive heart failure (CHF) currently affects about 5 million Americans. It is in-a-nutshell a “pump failure” medical issue that can have many causes. Traditional medical management includes diet to drop excess pounds and help reduce high blood pressure, medications that support the heart and ease the strain on it,   exercise, sodium restriction, and supplemental oxygen or surgery including implantation of a pacemaker or other heart function assist devices if needed.

The question arises, “Is there anything available for CHF that is less invasive or fraught with side or adverse effects than is true of many mainstream treatments? There is. Among these: One very powerful treatment modality is external counterpulsation (EECP), an FDA approved computer-driven machine that some doctors refer to as “a nonsurgical bypass.” In-a-word, it mechanically and effortlessly increases blood flow to organs and tissues including the heart, and also facilitates the growth of new blood vessels. In a randomized study published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology Vol. 48, No. 6, 2006 a team of scientists laid out findings that indicated that EECP increased exercise tolerant in participants with mild-to-moderate Congestive Heart Failure.  Critics argued the study did not rule out the placebo effect.

But what takes place when EECP is used in tandem with other leading edge treatments such as high dose ubiquinone (Coenzyme Q10) and infusions of stem cell rich bone marrow? Perhaps a great deal. This, at least, is what CHF patients treated using these and other therapeutic agents by Dr. Steenblock have reported.

If you or someone you know has Congestive Heart Failure and are looking for promising forms of intervention such as EECP, do not hesitate to call Dr. Steenblock’s Clinic toll free at 1-800-1063 and request more information.
