The Power of Intermittent Hypoxia Therapy

Intermittent Hypoxia Therapy

The Power of Intermittent Hypoxia Therapy

Intermittent Hypoxia Therapy is a powerful therapeutic tool employed by Dr. Steenblock. Among the wondrous effects it has on the human body:

  • Increases collateral circulation.
  • Boosts the efficiency of the cell’s internal power-producers, the mitochondria.
  • Increases the number of mitochondria inside cells.
  • Bolsters a patient’s ability to handle stress as well as infections.

These websites will help flesh this out further:

Dr. Steenblock often uses Intermittent Hypoxia Therapy to help mobilize a patient’s own stem cells prior to giving them a stem cell rich bone marrow treatment.

How does Dr. Steenblock go about harvesting bone marrow?

bone marrow stem cellsHow does Dr. Steenblock go about harvesting Bone Marrow?

As most of you who visit this blog know Dr. Steenblock pioneered harvesting a patient’s own stem cell-rich bone marrow and then giving it back. The clinical outcomes have been impressive (Some of which can be found on www.stemcellmd.org.) The question has been raised: How exactly does Dr. Steenblock do a bone harvesting procedure? Here it is in-a-nutshell:

The harvesting of bone marrow is geared to be as easy and painless as possible. Typically, bone marrow is removed from a thick bone site as the tibia (big bone) in the lower leg or the crest of the hip bone. This process normally takes about 30-45 minutes. The first step is administrated of a local anesthetic to the area where the extraction will take place. Then, a thin needle is introduced and employed to harvest around 150-200 milliliters (~5-6 oz) of bone marrow. Most patients do not feel the bone marrow being removed. Once the bone marrow has been harvested, it is given back by either intravenous (IV) or intrathecal (lumbar puncture) depending on the condition being treated.

Dr. Steenblock has, BTW, also come up with a way to purge out old, devitalized stem cells from the bone marrow which gets the body busy making new, robust ones: http://stemcell.md/newsletters/nov2010.pdf. One way readers can do this at home is to use the all natural stem cell mobilizer Dr. Steenblock created which he dubbed “Stemgevity”: www.stemgevity.com

Stem Cells: Out with the old, in with the new

Stem Cells: Out with the old, in with the new

TAKE NOTE: When a patient in need of a bone marrow treatment is over 40 and plans on seeing Dr. Steenblock to have this done, he often recommends that her physician treat her daily for 5 days with one vial of Neupogen® ending exactly 14 days before she comes to his office for the bone marrow treatment. This process removes most of the old senescent non-reproducing stem cells in the bone marrow and mobilizes them into the bloodstream. The bone marrow then replaces these with stronger, younger, more robust cells.  And when the bone marrow is removed 14 days later, the patient will have about 10 times more healthy stem cells available for harvesting then would otherwise have been present. These healthier, more vital stem cells work tend to produce impressive clinical outcomes once administered, e.g., placed into a patient’s blood stream, put into the CSF (cerebrospinal fluid with a lumbar puncture), up the nose (intranasal administration), or inserted directly into the eye or behind the eye (retrobulbar). This “stem cell mobilization & replenishment” treatment method is one of the reasons Dr. Steenblock is more successful with his bone marrow treatments than other doctors and stem cell clinics.

Getting the Most out of a Stem Cell Treatment

stem cell treatmentsGetting the Most out of a Stem Cell Treatment

Another basic stem cell rule is that stem cells (bone marrow, fat and umbilical) given repeatedly during a single 24 hour period by direct injection into the blood vessels that feed a target organ or tissue will produce better results than other treatment approaches.

Of course, treatment failures occur in every stem cell program. However, it appears the rates are highest in situations in which referring physicians do not check and treat the patient for heavy metals, gut dysbiosis (“leaky gut syndrome”), and chronic sinuses infections (50% of Dr. Steenblock’s ARMD patients have chronic sinusitis on CT scan with absolutely no symptoms.) In Dr. Steenblock’s experience patients will not get better when given stem cells without first getting rid of these occult (asymptomatic) infections.  In addition, any infection at all during the 3 weeks after a stem cell treatment will usually cause all of the good effects to disappear for good. There are exceptions, of course. Dr. Steenblock, in fact, had a 54 year old stroke patient get better for 2 weeks, then contract a cold and get worse for a week, got over this and then improved for 10 days, contracted yet another cold and got worse once more, and then surmounted this and began improving again. However, this is the first and only time Dr. Steenblock has ever seen the cells keep on working in the face of an active infection and most likely it was because the patient’s series of URIs (Upper Respiratory Infections) were quite mild. Regardless, Dr. Steenblock cautions all stem cell patients to stay away from crowds and people with infections especially colds for at least one week before and for three weeks after the administration of the stem cells. He further advises them to wear a surgical mask traveling to and from their stem cell treating facility including his.

60 Minutes (NZ) Stem Cell News Segment: “In Search of a Miracle”

In Search of a Miracle – 60 Minutes (NZ) – Click and watch this heartwarming 60 Minutes (NZ) segment. Here is what is cerebral palsy newsposted concerning it on their website:

Caleb was born a healthy, if somewhat premature, baby. He was the third child for this mother Shirley and the first for his father Lindsay. They never expected their precious child would soon be fighting for his life.

At just a few days old, Caleb suffered a massive bleed to his brain that left him with cerebral palsy, unable now to sit up, crawl or walk. Caleb also suffers as many as 50 seizures a day. The doctors in New Zealand have told Shirley and Lindsay that if the seizures don’t stop, Caleb will end up with more severe brain damage.

Overseas, stem cell research is showing positive results for those with cerebral palsy. There have been reports of spectacular successes – in at least one case, a blind child suddenly gaining perfect sight.

Caleb’s family decide to travel to the USA and Mexico so Caleb can receive this radical and costly treatment.

60 Minutes meets the family and travels with them on their quest to give young Caleb a better life.
