Dr. David Steenblock will be attending the Israstem 2013 conference being held in Ramat Gan, Israel on April 22-23 (2013)! Dr. Steenblock will be there, in part, to share insights and discoveries with fellow doctors who have been involved in the clinical use of adult (nonembryonic) stem cells as well as with leading stem cell researchers from around the world.
This conference, which is being held in collaboration with the Israel Stem Cell Society (ISCS), will feature presentations by such stem cell luminaries as Joanne Kurtzberg, MD
(Duke University Medical Center), and Arnold Caplan, Ph.D.
(Case Western Reserve University).
Like many of those attending Israstem, Dr. Steenblock brings to the table a wealth of experience in stem cell therapeutics. From 2003-7 Dr. Steenblock was adviser to one of the very first medical clinics in the world (Mexico) to use umbilical cord stem cells to treat neurologic disease and disorders including cerebral palsy (This included participating in a pioneering open pilot study of umbilical cord stem cells and cerebral palsy in eight children which was written up as a paper and appeared in the journal Medical Hypotheses & Research). In 2009 he pioneered the use of stem cell-rich bone marrow aspirate (BMAC) to treat a wide of chronic diseases and disorders, a form of stem cell therapy that is legal in the US. The clinical responses of his cerebral palsy patients have been so consistently impressive that Dr. Steenblock as well as other doctors characterize this treatment as “a major medical advance, one almost certain to be the standard-of-care for CP and similar neurological challenges at some point in the future”.
Dr. Steenblock currently serves as executive director of the clinic he founded, Dr. Steenblock’s Clinic (Alexander Thermos, D.O., D.C., Medical Director), and is also President of the Steenblock Research Institute, a nonprofit research facility that includes a massive medical & scientific library and molecular biology R & D laboratory.
Those interested in learning more about Dr. Steenblock and the ongoing work of his researchers and clinic healthcare team as well as those who’d like to discuss specific personal medical issues (with Dr. Thermos) are encouraged to call 1-800-300-1063 (9 am to 5 pm Pacific Time, Monday through Friday).
