Give me that old time medicine! (Results-driven, thank you kindly)

One of the criticisms often hurled at AltMed doctors is that they do not base their clinical treatment decisions on the best available scientific evidence (evidence-based medicine or evidence-based practice) or else cherry pick evidence that tends to favor their pet practice or treatment and ignore contrary evidence or the lack (or absence) of evidence. However, did you know that less than half of all surgical procedures, drugs, and diagnostic tests that doctors typically recommend have been proven effective in well designed and executed clinical studies? Curious as to what else might be eschew? If so check out this article:  Skewed: Bias, Corruption & Hypocrisy in Contemporary Science & Medicine

Maybe, just maybe seasoned medical practitioners like Dr. Steenblock are doing evidence-based medicine of a different kind. By this I mean that perhaps after over 40 years of practice and experimentation (in Dr. Steenblock’s case) he has managed to compile his own repertoire of what works and what doesn’t. Maybe this “results-driven” medicine is actually on surer footing than what some of his mainstream contemporaries are relying on (At least in some instances.)
